Stories We've Had the Honor to Tell

Every wedding in our portfolio began with two people, a vision, and a destination. Here's what happened next.

Sophia & Marco — Positano, Amalfi Coast

Italy · June 2025

A cliffside ceremony above the Tyrrhenian Sea

Sophia had dreamed of Positano since she was twelve years old. When Marco proposed on a rooftop in Austin, she knew exactly where they were going. We found them a private terrace draped in bougainvillea, sourced local lemon grove florals, and arranged a boat arrival that left their guests speechless. The ceremony lasted twenty minutes. The dancing lasted until 3am.

"We didn't have to think about a single thing. GoWed.Travel handled everything — we just got to fall in love with Italy all over again."

Sunset vows above the caldera

Claire and James wanted something small, intimate, and impossibly beautiful. We secured a private terrace in Oia with an unobstructed caldera view, timing the ceremony to coincide with the famous Santorini sunset. Their guests flew in from five countries. The florals were all white and gold. The sunset was, as always, perfect.

"The moment the sun hit the caldera during our vows, I completely forgot there was anyone else there. It was just us and the most beautiful view in the world."

Three days in a 16th-century estate

Elena and Luca wanted a wedding that felt like it had always existed — ancient, unhurried, and deeply Italian. We booked an entire 16th-century estate in the Val d'Orcia for three days. Welcome dinner in the wine cellar on Friday. Ceremony in the olive grove on Saturday. A long, lazy Sunday lunch that stretched into the golden afternoon. Exactly as it should be.

"Our guests still talk about it. Not just the wedding — the whole weekend. GoWed.Travel turned three days into a lifetime of memories."

Maya & Daniel — Tulum, Mexico

Barefoot vows at the edge of the Caribbean

Maya and Daniel wanted barefoot, bohemian, and breathtaking. We found them a private stretch of beach at a boutique eco-resort, built a driftwood and flower arch at the water's edge, and arranged a sunrise cenote swim for the wedding party the morning of. The reception was under the stars, with a live band playing until the waves drowned them out.

"I've been to a lot of weddings. Ours was the only one where every single guest told me it was the best wedding they'd ever attended."
